Since its introduction to the model flying scene the name Zenoah has come to represent trouble free operation; so much so that a good description of the practicality of using a Zenoah engine can best be described as “fit and forget”. From the quality of the engine castings to the reliability of the Walbro carburettor the engines have probably powered more large-scale models than any other similarly priced engine. From a modest 20cc right up to an 80cc twin cylinder (boxer) there is an engine size that will fit most models from a 65″ warbird right up to a 30% aerobatic model, each offering simple set-up coupled with economical and reliable operation. Now the whole range has been brought right up to date with the introduction of the latest Zenoah Platinum Series of petrol engines. Equipped with electronic ignition that is powered by a lightweight 4.8volt – 7.4volt 2S LiPo battery, these engines are markedly lighter than their magneto-equipped predecessors, whist offering trouble-free starting with a much smoother mid-range and improved top end performance. Further weight savings have also been made by the removal of excess aluminum from the engine casings. Other engine enhancements include new improved lightweight silencers for quieter operation (included), machined anodised propeller drives, machined aluminium throttle and choke levers that make installation and servo hook-up straight forward and much easier. Economical to run when compared to the typical cost of glow fuel, cleaner operation with no un-burnt oily residue over the model, the reliable Walbro carburetors have little need of tweaking or adjustments as the needles are set to a default value at the factory. Available in 20cc, 26cc, 38cc, 62cc and 80cc (twin), there is a Zenoah Platinum Series engine to suit YOUR needs. See the range of Zenoah Platinum Series engines at www.horizonhobby.com or at your local Horizon Hobby UK stockist.
